Shuai Chiao incorporates Kicking, Striking, Throwing and Follow on Techniques (Pinning, restraining, kicking, striking, locking. It is a very effective system for dealing with physical conflict. It covers the primary actions, that usually arise in a self-defense situation.
Shuai Chiao San Shou is a free style approach to using the concepts of shuai chiao along with other tools, that could be effective in a physical conflict. We use this method as away on being flexible in training, but at the same time maintain the traditional approach to shuai chiao.
Shuai Jiao is a sport focused on wrestling. You wear a jacket made out of similar material to a Judo jacket. But it is short sleeved and open in the front. It is a dynamic and fast sport focused on putting the opponent on the ground and staying on your feet. The training is great for day-to-day physical confortations, being able to quickly throw a person down and being able to get out of the situation quickly by staying on your feet and maintaining mobility.
San da is a full contact sport, focusing on kicking, striking and throwing. It is versatile as some schools focus on short range others on long range and even others more on the throwing aspect. It is a great way to determine your capacity if you are within a right age to compete and also based on the variety of competitors and strategies used. It is effect way to determine if your skills are useful against a variety of different style formats.
